Elect Jay Wallace ’04 for Vice President, The Citadel Alumni Association
Fellow Bulldogs,
This August, we will elect the next Vice President of the Citadel Alumni Association—a leader who will ascend to the Presidency in two years. This is a pivotal moment to choose a representative who will not only safeguard our traditions but strategically navigate the future of The Military College of South Carolina.
A Lifetime of Commitment My bond with our Alma Mater is lifelong. As part of a multi-generational Citadel family—with graduates spanning from the Class of ’51, three graduates of ’77, ’84, ‘10, ’16—the values of Duty, Honor, and Respect are not just concepts to me; they are the standards by which I live and work.
Proven Leadership & Institutional Service for over 20 years, I have dedicated myself to serving both the Lowcountry and The Citadel through various charitable and professional organizations. Whether leading the Citadel Club of Charleston or serving on CAA Board, Facilities Chairman and Committees, my focus has always been on transformation. I have consistently worked to improve the operational health of these organizations, ensuring they deliver tangible value to the alumni and community members they support.
Driving Value in a Modern World as a business owner and software consultant, I understand that any organization—including our Alumni Association—must provide a clear Value Proposition to its members. I have built companies from the ground up and restructured others to meet modern challenges. I intend to bring this same rigor to the CAA, ensuring we provide the resources and networking our alumni need to thrive in today’s economy.
Strategic Communication is the lifeblood of a strong association. Leveraging my background in technological innovation, I will implement forward-thinking communication strategies that are effective, modern, and non-intrusive. My goal is to ensure the CAA serves as a powerful, independent voice—listening to your views and bringing that collective strength to the administration.
Protecting the Long Gray Line The Corps of Cadets is the heart of our institution. Our reputation is forged by the Four-Class System and the unique pressures that cultivate principled leaders. As alumni, our role is to protect the integrity of the “Band of Gold” and ensure our traditions remain relevant and respected in a changing world.
Bridging Tradition and Innovation I am a candidate who understands that our traditions are our brand. I have the unique ability to embrace our storied past while using modern technology to protect and advance it. I have stood up for these core values in boardrooms and club meetings for over a decade, and I am ready to do the same as your Vice President.
I humbly ask for your vote and your partnership in making the Long Gray Line stronger than ever.
V/R,
J. E. Wallace III Tango ’04 Candidate for Vice President, CAA
